On February 14, 2023, the "Cloud Empowerment, Excellence Creation" Enterprise Cloud Optimization Governance Series Salon, fourth session: Industry Cloud Platform Management and Industry Cloud Management Series Standards Launch Meeting, co-hosted by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology and the Cloud Computing Standardization and Open Source Promotion Committee (CCSA TC608), was successfully held. Mr. Xing Yibin, the pre-sales manager of Futong Cloud, was invited to participate in the roundtable discussion on industry cloud management, where he discussed with guests the construction ideas and methods for the management capabilities of various industry cloud platforms, and shared best practices in industry cloud management.

In recent years, as China's digital economy has shifted towards "industrial interconnection" with a focus on materialization and industrialization, the penetration rate of cloud computing services in non-Internet industries in China has gradually increased, with continuous growth in the breadth and depth of applications. How to build cloud platform management capabilities under industry cloud scenarios has become a compulsory course for enterprises using the cloud.

When discussing how the development of industry clouds brings more in-depth and specific requirements for enterprise cloud platform management capabilities, Mr. Xing Yibin pointed out that in addition to basic resource management, cost management, and security and compliance management, industry cloud platforms also need to meet the unique management needs of related industries, such as data management, permission management, resource scheduling, performance monitoring, cost optimization, and process management.

For financial, telecommunications, automotive, and other industry enterprises, how to optimize cloud platform management capabilities based on industry characteristics, Mr. Xing Yibin stated that in the era of hybrid multi-cloud, industry enterprises need to build a new set of hybrid cloud management capabilities from multiple dimensions, including multi-cloud resource service delivery, resource reorganization and isolation, cross-cloud resource orchestration and scheduling, multi-cloud business governance, intelligent operations, and cost optimization. This is to reconstruct the core competitiveness of cloud-based foundational resources in terms of quality, efficiency, and cost, and to help themselves continuously improve insight, collaboration, and agility in digital transformation.

It is reported that the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) has initiated the development of a series of management standards for industry-specific cloud platforms. These standards aim to guide enterprises in building cloud management capabilities that meet the characteristics and needs of their own industries, and to enhance the professionalism and adaptability of service providers in managing industry clouds. The standard system is divided into two branches: one for the management service capabilities of industry cloud platforms and the other for the management maturity of industry cloud platforms.
