On December 14, 2022, the Cloud Optimization Innovation and Development Forum, co-hosted by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology and the Cloud Computing Standards and Open Source Promotion Committee (CCSA TC608) of the China Communications Standards Association, was held online. Themed "More Economical · More Efficient · More In-depth," the forum gathered top experts in the field of cloud optimization governance to explore the optimization path for enterprises to adopt and utilize cloud services.
"Futong Cloud Assists Guizhou Power Grid Cloud Migration Best Practice" received the "Cloud Migration Quality and Efficiency Optimization" outstanding case award. Additionally, the enterprise cloud resource benefit measurement standards system, in which the company participated, was officially released. At the same time, Futong Cloud's Assistant Vice President Zhang Ling and Technical Consultant Xing Yibin were selected as the first batch of experts appointed for the Cloud Optimization Capacity Enhancement Program.
Awarded "Cloud Migration Quality and Efficiency Optimization" Outstanding Case
In recent years, the cloud adoption process of enterprises across various industries has been continuously deepening, with data and core applications gradually migrating to the cloud. However, while enterprises initially sought the flexibility, innovation, and cost savings of cloud computing when they first moved to the cloud, if the cloud migration approach is improper, the effectiveness of cloud computing may not be realized. The "Cloud Migration Quality and Efficiency Optimization" case collection aims to select benchmark cases where enterprises have modernized their business applications and integrated and innovated in the governance of infrastructure and platforms during cloud migration. "Futong Cloud Assists Guizhou Power Grid Cloud Migration Best Practice" was awarded an outstanding case, fully demonstrating that Futong Cloud's technological innovation capabilities and professional service experience have been unanimously recognized and affirmed.
In response to the business needs of Guizhou Power Grid for cloud disaster recovery construction and data migration, Futong Cloud has provided technical and service support including the construction of a cloud disaster recovery center, the establishment of a heterogeneous cloud production center and disaster recovery center architecture, database system migration, and the construction of an automated operation and maintenance system. This support has helped the enterprise to further improve resource utilization, shorten the business launch cycle, and achieve rapid automated fault recovery for business applications, empowering the comprehensive upgrade and innovative development of business applications.
Participating In The Compilation of Cloud Resource Benefit Measurement Standards
Currently, issues such as the waste of corporate cloud resource costs and suboptimal usage benefits are becoming increasingly apparent. The demand for optimization of cloud resource usage by enterprises is continuously increasing. Cloud resource benefits, as a key factor in measuring the effectiveness of enterprises' cloud adoption and utilization, have become an important quantitative indicator for enterprises to understand the effects of cloud adoption and utilization, and a crucial reference for planning the optimization of resource usage strategies.
To address this, the Cloud Computing Standards and Open Source Promotion Committee (TC608) has initiated research on the "Cloud Resource Benefit Measurement Model" standard, with experts from more than thirty companies, including Futong Cloud, conducting in-depth discussions on the relevant content.
At the forum, the Cloud Resource Benefit Measurement Standards were officially released. The aim is to comprehensively measure the benefits of cloud resources for cloud platform builders, operators, and users through professional and standardized measurement models. These standards are designed to fit actual application scenarios and explore optimization paths for cloud usage.
Becoming One of the First Batch of Appointed Cloud Optimization Experts
To further understand the pain points of enterprise cloud usage, improve the effectiveness of enterprises' cloud adoption and utilization, meet the needs of enterprises' digitalization process, promote the construction of standards in cloud optimization-related fields, gather the strength of all parties to accelerate digital development, and build a digital China, the "Cloud Optimization Capacity Enhancement Plan" conducted a recruitment of the first batch of appointed experts in the second half of 2022. The initiative selected leading enterprises and senior experts to assist in carrying out more efficient and high-quality research work.
After a selection process that included company self-recommendation and expert defense, Futong Cloud's Assistant Vice President Zhang Ling and Technical Consultant Xing Yibin were chosen as part of the first batch of experts appointed for the Cloud Optimization Capacity Enhancement Plan. The experts will work together to promote the efficient development of cloud optimization-related fields, enhance the application capabilities of enterprise cloud optimization technologies, and support industrial upgrading.
