The FinOps industry status survey has been conducted for two consecutive sessions, with Futong Cloud actively participating as an important member of the FinOps Industry Promotion Array. This includes participating in the preliminary market research for both phases of the report and offering relevant and effective suggestions during the report discussions, contributing technical expertise to the compilation work.

With the rapid development of digital transformation across all industries, the continuous increase in corporate IT resource investment makes the issue of balancing IT resource investment and effectiveness increasingly prominent. Enterprises urgently need to carry out IT resource cost operation management (FinOps) to achieve refined management and economical use of IT resources.

The report indicates that over half of the companies have underutilized IT resources with signs of waste, and more than eighty percent of the companies have expressed a strong demand for refined management of IT resource costs to achieve the goal of cost optimization. The main reasons for the inadequate utilization of corporate IT resources are the lack of relevant IT resource management tools, the absence of IT resource management system standards, and the deficiency in monitoring the use of IT resources.

As a professional full-stack cloud management service provider, Futong Cloud's CMP multi-cloud management platform introduces visual cost bill management. It verifies and allocates costs, processes historical data, and makes reasonable forecasts for future demands, planning corresponding budgets to ensure the right amount of resources are in place and to avoid unnecessary over-capacity waste. At the same time, by monitoring the actual usage of resources in real-time through the platform and conducting systematic analysis, it provides sensible optimization suggestions.

In terms of cost management, this includes leveraging visibility to analyze consumption reports and understand cost situations to adjust consumption patterns; regularly monitoring the usage of resources and setting alerts to control cloud computing expenses; and utilizing historical data trends to regularly analyze and manage the use of peak resources.

In terms of cost optimization, adjustments are made to the infrastructure through cloud computing automation, pricing models are investigated, and more intelligent algorithms are launched to perform various tasks in creating a cost-effective infrastructure.

Cost optimization is an ongoing process, and Futong aims to explicitly intervene in the operation, management, and maintenance of infrastructure through data technology and AI algorithms, forming an intelligent closed loop. This enables the operation, management, and maintenance processes of enterprise infrastructure resources to be measurable, traceable, predictable, and inheritable, thereby reconfiguring the core competitiveness of cloud-based infrastructure quality, efficiency, and cost.
